Physical SIM Card Support and eSIM Capabilities
The iPhone 13 series, released in 2021, offers both physical SIM card support and eSIM capabilities in most regions worldwide. The physical nano-SIM card slot is located on the side of the device, while eSIM technology provides digital alternatives for cellular connectivity.
Physical SIM Installation
To insert a physical SIM card:
- Locate the SIM card tray on the side of the iPhone
- Use the SIM eject tool (or paperclip) to open the tray
- Place the nano-SIM card into the tray
- Reinsert the tray until it clicks

The iPhone 13 supports eSIM technology, allowing users to:
